UnionPay cardholders will be able to use their cards at the POS and ATM terminals of UKRGASBANK, one of the top five Ukrainian banks by assets.

Since July, 2020, UnionPay cardholders will be able to use their cards at duty-free shops, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, and different shops of Ukraine. By the end of the year, UnionPay cards can also be used to withdraw cash at all UKRGASBANK ATMs across the country.

UKRGASBANK being a bank with a focus on a green finance, actively participate in the development of the Ukrainian economy and takes eighth place in the top ten banks of Ukraine in card-business. This year UKRGASBANK has applied for General Principal Member of UnionPay International, and the bank is UnionPay’s Local Settlement Bank in Ukraine.

The two partners plan to further deepen their cooperation, so the acceptance UnionPay cards at ATMs and POS terminals is just the start of UKRGASBANK and UnionPay cooperation. The next stage of the project will be card issuing, and UKRGASBANK is supposed to become the first Ukrainian Bank to issue UnionPay – PROSTIR co-bagged card.

The bank has its money transfer system, and will be integratied with UnionPay’s cross-border remittance service MoneyExpress in the future.
