During the activity period, users who use UnionPay Mobile Pay at supermarkets and grocery stores across the UAE will enjoy a 10% instant discount with no minimum spend required. The maximum discount per transaction is capped at 50 AED.

1.Activity Period

From April 22, 2026, to December 31, 2026 (inclusive). The time is based on the UnionPay back-end system time.

2.How to Participate

Users must successfully register through the activity QR code or designated link (U Plan registration) to participate.

3.Scope of Application

The discount applies only to payments made using UnionPay Mobile Pay (excluding physical cards) at merchants registered under the Supermarket category in the UAE.

4.Mobile Pay Definition

Payments made using a phone's native NFC wallet linked to a UnionPay card starting with 62, such as Apple Pay, Huawei Pay, Mi Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, etc. Payments through third-party wallet apps linked to UnionPay cards do not meet this definition and are not eligible for the discount.

5.Special Note on Merchant Categories (MCC)

The discount is determined by the Merchant Category Code (MCC) registered by the merchant with the local acquirer. This activity only applies to merchants with an MCC marked as Supermarket. UnionPay International is not responsible if a cardholder fails to enjoy the discount because the merchant's actual business category differs from its registered MCC, and no subsequent compensation claims will be accepted.

6.Frequency Limits

A single user can enjoy the discount a maximum of 2 times per day. Throughout the activity period, a single cardholder can enjoy the discount for a maximum of 500 cumulative transactions.

7.Quota Limits

The quota is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis according to the actual transaction sequence until the budget is exhausted.

8.Eligible Cards

This activity applies to all UnionPay cards (including credit and debit cards) issued globally starting with 62, but only transactions made via UnionPay Mobile Pay are eligible for the discount.

9.User Definition

The same device, same user ID, same registered mobile number, same bank-reserved mobile number, same physical bank card, and same ID number are all considered as the same user. Virtual mobile numbers are not allowed to participate.

10.Refund Rules

Only valid consumer transactions are eligible. Cancellations, pre-authorizations, refunds, or abnormal payments are not eligible for the discount.

11.Amount Calculation

In the event of a refund (full or partial), only the actual amount paid by the cardholder will be refunded; the discount amount will not be refunded. Refunds will only be returned to the original payment method; cash refunds are not accepted.

12.Exchange Rate Variance

Due to exchange rate fluctuations, the real-time exchange rate at the time of refund may differ from that at the time of payment, leading to a difference between the actual CNY refund amount and the initial transaction amount.

13.Compliance

Users must not engage in fraudulent transactions, illegal profit-making, malicious use of multiple accounts/devices, or use robots or scrapers. If discovered, UnionPay reserves the right to disqualify the user, revoke the discount, and pursue legal action.

14.Arbitrage Handling

For users who violate rules for malicious arbitrage, UnionPay has the right to recover the fraudulent funds, blacklist the user, and refuse their participation in any future UnionPay promotions.

15.Disclaimer

The organizer and UnionPay International are not responsible for situations where participation is impossible due to unsupported user devices, card restrictions, or various third-party system issues.

16.Specific Restrictions

This activity is limited to UnionPay Mobile Pay transactions (excluding physical cards). Purchases of gift cards and pre-paid cards are not eligible.

17.Organizer Rights

This activity is hosted by UnionPay International. Within the scope permitted by laws and regulations, the organizer reserves the right to adjust the rules (including but not limited to amounts, thresholds, and quotas) based on actual circumstances; adjusted information will be effective once published on the activity page.
