【Korea】 5% Instant Discount for T-Money Top-up

Top up your T-Money transportation card via Apple Pay in the T-Money APP using a UnionPay card issued outside of South Korea. Receive a 5% discount for top-ups of KRW 30,000 or more.

During the promotion period, a single Apple device can enjoy the discount up to 2 times. Any of the following conditions: the same registered mobile phone number, the same mobile phone number registered with the bank, or the same physical bank card number, will be regarded as the same user. The discount quota is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis until exhausted.

1.This promotion is limited to all UnionPay cards issued outside of South Korea. The promotion period is from April 29, 2026, 00:00:00 to June 28, 2026, 23:59:59

2.How to participate: Enter the top-up amount in the T-Money App and complete the top-up via Apple Pay In-App transaction. If the selected UnionPay card pays 30,000 KRW or more through the UnionPay clearing network, an instant 5% discount will be applied. The maximum discount amount for a single card per transaction is 4,500 KRW, and the maximum cumulative discount amount per card during the promotion period is capped at 4,500 KRW. The specific deduction time is subject to the initiation by the merchant.

3.Transactions that are unposted/voided/refunded, or any transactions found to be fraudulent or eventually cancelled/refunded, will not be regarded as eligible transactions.

4.In the event of a transaction reversal, refund, or return, only the amount actually paid by the cardholder will be refunded (excluding the instant discount amount). Such reversal, refund, or return transactions will occupy one discount quota; the discount quota will be considered consumed and will not be returned.

5.The actual payment amount is subject to the actual deduction information from the issuing bank. If there are any questions regarding the discount or promotion, cardholders may call the customer service hotline at 95516 for inquiries.

6.This promotion aims to provide benefits to more cardholders. For cardholders who use or are suspected of using methods that violate the promotion rules or improper means to obtain UnionPay discounts, UnionPay International Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "UnionPay International") has the right to withhold the discount, recover issued discounts, and refuse their participation in any future UnionPay card promotion activities.

7.Cardholders acknowledge and accept that UnionPay International is not the supplier of the products/services/benefits provided. The goods or services purchased by cardholders using T-money are provided by the merchant themselves. The merchant and its goods or services have not been certified by UnionPay International. In any case, any goods or services purchased by the cardholder at the merchant shall not be construed as an endorsement or recommendation of the merchant or its goods or services by UnionPay International. Any questions or issues that cardholders may have regarding the goods or services must be resolved directly with the merchant providing such goods or services.

8.To the extent permitted by law, UnionPay International reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of this promotion (including but not limited to eligibility, transaction time, and reward methods, etc.), or to suspend or cancel this promotion. 9.Cardholders participating in this promotion shall comply with relevant laws and regulations as well as the various rules of this promotion. If a cardholder participating in this promotion uses any means or tools that violate integrity, such as exploiting system loopholes, external software, or plug-ins, or engages in malicious behaviors such as illegal profit-making, cashing out, or false transactions to obtain promotion rewards, UnionPay International has the right to disqualify the cardholder from the promotion and has the right to directly or through the issuing bank cancel or recover any issued promotion rewards. UnionPay International reserves the right to judge violations in the promotion.
