UnionPay cardholders who register for promotions in three different countries — France, Italy, and Spain — via the UPI U Rewards platform, and accumulate a total of RMB 2,500 or more in cross-border in-store spending within a single calendar month, will be eligible to receive a €20 TheFork gift card for the corresponding country.

*How to use Gift Card?

"TheFork Gift Card" can be used to pay for meals (food and drinks) at TheFork partner restaurants located in France, Spain and Italy.

1) Download TheFork App and add Gift Card Code to "My Gift Card" section or Input the Gift Card code into "TheFork PAY" section

2) Participating restaurants can be searched: a) by clicking on the ‘Where to use my Gift Card?’’ button in TheFork App; b) once you input the Gift Card code in TheFork PAY by searching the list of participating restaurants that will appear in TheFork PAY; or c) on the Platform using the “Gift Cards” filter

3) Pay the bill with ONLY UnionPay Card in the TheFork PAY – if The Gift Card does not cover the full amount, you can ONLY pay the balance with UnionPay card saved in TheFork PAY or in-store.

4) Please inform the restaurant of the intention to use the e-gift card before making payment.

【Term & Condition】

1. UnionPay cardholders who register in French page via the U Rewards platform, and accumulate a total of RMB 2,500 or more in cross-border in-store spending within a single calendar month, will be eligible to receive a €20 TheFork gift card for the corresponding country. The number of cards is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The promotion for each country will end once all cards have been claimed.

2. The promotion is conducted in monthly phases, with each calendar month considered a separate phase. Each UnionPay card can be registered and used to claim one gift card per month. After receiving the gift card, cardholders must redeem it via the payment page in the TheFork app for the corresponding country within the validity period. If the gift card balance is insufficient to cover the full bill, the remaining amount can be paid using the linked UnionPay card.

3. The region, date, time, transaction amount, and exchange rate for cross-border UnionPay card transactions will be based on the final records of the UnionPay system.

Only eligible transactions made after successful registration and within the same promotion phase will be counted. For example, in the first phase, only qualified transactions made between the date of successful registration and 23:00 Beijing Time on June 30, 2025, will be considered.

Transaction amounts will be calculated in RMB based on the UnionPay clearing exchange rate on the day of settlement. If the transaction is made in a currency other than RMB, the amount will be converted using the exchange rate applied by the UnionPay network. In the case of returns, the corresponding amount will be deducted from the total eligible spending.

4. The gift card is valid for a period of 18 months from the issuance date stated on the card, which may precede the date of actual receipt by the cardholder. Upon expiry, the gift card will no longer be valid or usable.

Only one e-gift card may be applied per transaction. The card is indivisible, non-redeemable for cash, and cannot be used for partial redemption. Each gift card consists of a unique code with a fixed face value, which is non-adjustable.

5. UnionPay International shall not be held liable in the event of loss, theft, damage, or unauthorized use of the gift card. The gift card is non-redeemable for cash and may not be resold, though it may be gifted to another individual. Gift cards must be used solely in accordance with the terms and purposes specified above and shall not be used for any other purpose.

Gift cards are non-replaceable, non-reloadable, and non-refundable, including in cases of partial use or cancellation.

6. UnionPay International reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. These terms shall apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

7. UnionPay International is not the provider of the goods or services. For any inquiries regarding the goods or services, please contact the participating merchant directly. For questions related to the use of the e-gift card in this promotion, you may contact UnionPay International's official customer service hotline at 00800-800-95516.

8. In the event of any discrepancies between the Chinese and English versions of these Terms and Conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.

2. UnionPay International is neither vendors nor service providers, thus UnionPay International is not responsible for the products or services provided by the merchant. Any obligations and liabilities relating to such products or services and all auxiliary services shall be borne by the merchant.
