UnionPay International announced today it has partnered with Taiwan's largest duty free group Ever Rich to launch a new service that allows consumers to order online and make payments to pick up at the airport while rolling out exclusive offers that last for two month for paying with UnionPay cards (card number starting with 62). Cardholders travelling to Taiwan can  make their purchases online in advance to shorten their shopping time in Taiwan, avoid the inconvenience of carrying a large number of items during their journey, and enjoy more convenient payment service and more flexible travelling experience.

Airport duty free shop is a must-go shopping place for many passengers, but they are often worried about missing the boarding time. The online booking service jointly launched by UnionPay International and Ever Rich has managed to avoid this issue. Passengers could visit the Ever Rich duty-free pre-order website （www.everrich.com）to order the duty-free goods and register the flight and ID information within 7 days before leaving Taiwan (four hours before departure at the latest). Then they can pick up the items they ordered directly by paying with UnionPay card at the Ever Rich service center in Taoyuan International Airport.

This is also a duty-free commodity O2O (Online to Offline) service jointly launched by UnionPay International and Ever Rich to create a more convenient way to make on-line reservation, off-line check out and pick up through innovative services to provide travelers to Taiwan with a more diversified payment experience. By shopping on the website, cardholders are not only entitled with a gift voucher worth NT$200 for registering as a user but also can enjoy exclusive offers before Jun 30 to get NT$1,240 off for any single purchase of NT$20,000 or more.

To accommodate the unabated popularity of Taiwan as a travel destination of mainland tourists, the UnionPay online and offline payment service system is improving. Currently in Taiwan, UnionPay cards can be accepted by more than 90% of ATMs and 70% of merchants. UnionPay cards can be used to make payments for all lines of the High Speed Rail, Taiwan Railway as well as for Taiwan Taxi. UnionPay cards can also be used to pay via mPOS terminals in many local night markets. UnionPay Quickpass service has been launched in a number of malls, fashion stores and chain bookstores, providing cardholders with more convenient and secure payment experience. Meanwhile, many well-known online merchants in the tourism, maternal and child supplies and local specialties industries have also enabled UnionPay online payment.
